J2757 - Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager, Direct to generate income via the direct sourcing of Asset Finance and Leasing business. You will generate finance opportunities via the direct canvassing of end user clients and the indirect canvassing of end user clients via new brokers.
You will have overall Account Management of direct and indirect customer facilities.
Salary: To £65,000 plus excellent benefits and bonus. Location: UK, SE Eng.
Generate new direct business at an agreed margin and volume.
Become embedded into the South East region and canvass / win incremental business with customers ranging from Sole traders to internationally quoted PLCs.
Develop strong relationships with the end user customers.
Build, support and / or lead negotiations with end user customers to close finance opportunities.
Work closely with the Operations team to manage existing and new customer accounts.
Construct and present detailed credit applications including the provision of financial analysis if required.
Execution of contract documentation with customers, usually via DocuSign.
Work closely with the Regional Director and Head of Sales to manage existing credit limits and to ensure adequate headroom is available for upcoming drawdowns.
Attendance of shows and exhibitions to promote services & expertise.
React and address customer’s in-life contractual and operational needs.
Review and manage the profitability of your region against a pre-defined target.
Proven track record of success in the Vendor or Direct Asset Finance market with a sales focused account management role.
Experience of managing a portfolio of brokers is also beneficial.
In depth knowledge of hard asset funding across a range of industries.
Experience of negotiating and closing transactions of significant value directly with end user customers ranging from Sole Traders and SMEs to Major Corporates.
Must be a pro-active self-starter capable of working both in isolation and as part of a team.
A resilient and strong personality capable of developing / building strong relationships and capable of obtaining buy-in from key stakeholders.
Excellent credit skills and a good understanding of financial accounts with the ability to confidently present detailed proposals to the credit function.
Ability to converse at multiple levels of seniority up to board level.
Must hold a full, clean drivers licence and have the ability, expectation and desire to travel extensively within the UK, especially the South East.
