​J3034 - Our client is seeking a Credit Manager, Flow to underwrite small value, high volume deals as well as assume responsibility for some of the default agreements. Underwriting volume is approx 8-10 cases daily.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, S Eng (Remote).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversight of approval of SME debt written in conjunction with credit frameworks set by funding partners.

• Assist Business Development Manager in ISO credit worthiness and provide recommendations to funding partners

• Ensuring that market best practice portfolio management principles are applied to all debt with the aim of minimising bad debts.

• Manage default termination agreements and liaising with external advisors to maximise the recovery of bad debts where appropriate.

• Involvement with large credit cases.

• Attend and report Monthly to MD and Funder Head of Credit.

• Keep up to date with market, customer trends and competition.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Sound experience of commercial/SME lending, having operated in an active lending organization with associated risk assessment skills; or

• Underwriting experience including the ability to use credit tools to support credit recommendations; or

• Experience in the UK payments industry obtained in the acquirer, manufacturer or distribution sectors; and

• Strong financial and Microsoft Excel skills.

• Educated to degree level, ideally supported by a professional qualification in accountancy, banking or risk management.
