Job description

​J3139 - New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading European financial services group in their search for a Vendor Account Manager, Construction. You will build and maintain excellent relationships with vendor, dealer and broker partners to maximise finance volume and profitability.

Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Midlands / North of England (Remote)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain new and existing introducer programmes in terms of relationship and business volume.

  • Promote and sell point of sale services to increase uptake.

  • Further to introducer and end user customer introductions, proactively make customer visits & and telephone calls to discuss financing requirements to ultimately close the sale.

  • Manage and sell pricing policy and negotiate on rate with allocated vendor accounts.

  • Conduct regular reviews on vendor accounts and maintain up to date programmes summaries and procedures.

  • Ensure proposals are promptly acted upon and submitted with considered and strong commercial support as appropriate. Manage risk declines and act as a contact for appealing decisions

  • Hit personal and team volume, income and margin targets and other objectives as required including the obtaining of new vendor accounts.

  • Ensure adequate processes and procedures are in place to minimise risks.

  • Prepare and submit residual value applications for approval where required.

  • Assist in the evaluation of new documentation and provide drafting comments.

  • Undertake pro-active marketing of existing channel customers and dealers for repeat business.

  • Attend regular sales and marketing meetings for the channel and with external relationships.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • 5 years+ experience in similar sales or account management role within the leasing / finance industry.

  • Knowledge and experience in construction, transportation and materials handling and engineering industries would be preferable together with a good understanding of the financial service requirements to support dealer / distributor customers.

  • Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good credit skills to present deals and challenge referrals and declines.

  • Ability to use a financial calculator or tool proficiently.

  • Good time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise.

  • The ability to present, negotiate and build relationships and to be able to prioritise work will be key to success as will the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding whilst maintaining a clear focus on the objective.

  • Highly numerate and practical problem-solving capabilities

  • IT skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new IT products.

  • Good documentation skills .

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
