Job description

​J2739 - Our client is seeking a Head of Business Administration / New Business Team Leader to ensure that manage to efficient flow of proposals through to activation and payout within compliance requirements. You will lead, motivate, develop and expand the team whilst supporting the operations director with the general running of the administrative function.

Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 plus bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Northants / E Mids

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Administrative function team to ensure high performance in all aspects of administration.

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of the team’s output and minimising company’s exposure to incorrect/incomplete documentation.

  • Validate documentation and ensure system inputs/processes are correct.

  • Documentation to be validated for completeness and accuracy.

  • Business decisions to be made when omissions or errors are found.

  • Pay-outs are in line with credit acceptance terms and internal policies re sign-off on own-book lending.

  • Liaise with sales, compliance and operations to resolve any issues.

  • Responsible for raising direct debit calls for own-book lending.

  • Manage changes which will make the administration function more efficient.

  • Prepare reports for Management Accountant / external accountants in respect of own-book lending.

  • Assist with system enhancements by checking specification documents, provide any recommendations for changes and perform testing of enhancements.

  • Liaise with the compliance to ensure all processes are compliant with data protection and FCA / NACFB rules and regulations.

  • Manage and prioritize the admin team’s workload to ensure levels of service are achieved and maintained.

  • Provide training for new team members as well as identify development needs within the team and take appropriate actions to address and/or coach.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Experience in financial services, and specifically asset finance or loan lending businesses is preferred but not a necessity.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills

  • Track record in an internal sales, new business administration. payouts role, including previous leasing/HP or loan experience.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
