Job description

​J2779 - Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst (6mth FTC) to deliver timely credit decisions within set parameters and underwriting authority. You will have the ability to provide commercially balanced recommendations for above mandate decisions. You will operate at the flow deal level underwriting hard and soft assets.

Salary: Excellent salary plus bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Gtr London / Herts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyse financial, asset, market, legal and contractual information.

  • Prepare credit write ups as a sound basis for own decision-making or decision making by senior risk. 

  • Prepare well-structured, rationalised credit decisions and recommendations in a timely manner, supporting the total commercial value proposition.

  • Work closely with internal sales teams to obtain required information on the deal and communicate decision. 

  • Occasionally attend end user meetings / calls to complete due diligence. 

  • Advise, prepare and participate in local risk committees when appropriate. 

  • When appropriate act as secretary to local risk committees.

  • Internal and regulatory Compliance e.g. KYC.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance at transaction level.

  • Act as a point of guidance to wider Operations/Commercial teams

  • Contribution to portfolio quality.

  • Contribution to team profile / culture.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of underwriting / analysing transaction in a wide range of sectors within either a  banking or asset finance business.

  • FCA regulated environment experience (desired.

  • Organized and structured approach, whilst being comfortable working with short turnaround times.

  • Friendly and approachable member who is able to network and help encourage enthusiasm in colleagues, customers and team members to reach a common goal.

  • Task-focused problem solver, able to manage and prioritize multiple requirements.

  • Willing to “go the extra mile” when required, via a flexible / adaptable approach to daily workload.

  • Able to articulate thoughts in a concise manner both verbally and in writing.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
