​J2787 - Our client is seeking a Remarketing Asset Manager to execute company strategy, including asset valuations, in life portfolio management, asset inspections and recovery as well as asset remarketing at end of lease or due to asset repossession. You will ensure appropriate level of reporting, oversight and control is in place for all aspects of Asset Management and Remarketing activity. Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Gtr London / Surrey (other locations will be considered, provided easy commute to office up to 3 times/week)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set valuation parameters for EoT sale negotiations ensuring alignment to appropriate market.

• Undertake asset valuations for underwriting and impairment purposes.

• Provide and ensure current and future market values on assets are aligned to appropriate routes to market.

• Engage with and manage instruction of panel valuation firms to value assets in certain circumstances, aligned to the asset portfolio mix and new business requirements.

• Carry out asset inspections to confirm operational status and capability of equipment.

• Put forward provision recommendations where there is a shortfall on asset value for delinquent/doubtful customers.

• Understand the mix of assets, customers and risks on the live portfolio.

• Ensure that secondary lease periods are aligned to current asset values, lessee requirements and market conditions.

• Manage the removal, logistics, inspection and sale processes of all off lease and repossessed assets to ensure EoT income opportunities are maximised.

• Use sector knowledge to decide on the most effective disposal strategy for each asset.

• Establish long term relationships with dealers across Europe, aligned to the portfolio asset mix.

• Maintain an effective group of Asset Management services providers for inspection, de-install, logistics and storage.

• Establish and maintain appropriate reporting to ensure accurate monitoring of maturing portfolio, off lease assets in inventory, sale performance, provisioning requirements and performance against financial commitments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Degree or similar qualification or equivalent experience gathered in a similar role.

• Knowledge and experience of valuing and selling hard assets (initially focused on construction and industry assets).

• Knowledge and experience of asset finance.

• Knowledge of national and international economic and industry specific trends.

• Knowledge of FCA regulations.

• Knowledge and understanding of working and dealing directly multiple stakeholders.

• Knowledge of operating systems and compliance.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
