J2905 - Our client is seeking an Asset Auditor to independently perform asset audits. You will join a team with one other auditor reporting to the Head of Collections. There is a potential opportunity to lead the audit team for a suitably experienced candidate. The role is home based and involves frequent travel to customer sites. This is a key risk role within the organisation given the importance of underlying security to an asset finance lender.
Salary: To £40,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Eng Flexible Location
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organise and perform asset audits. The audits will provide an overview of the underlying business in question, evidence the condition / location / usage of assets on finance and review of the relevant documentation regarding the assets.
Ensure sufficient work has been performed during the audit to achieve the audit objectives.
Ensure quality and timeliness of audit documentation and reports.
Work with other teams to resolve issues or outstanding items identified during the audit.
Evaluate the adequacy and timeliness of management's response and the corrective action taken on all significant weaknesses noted in audit reports.
Investigate and develop asset audit approaches for unique and/or complex situations.
Provide monthly reporting to senior management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
An understanding of risk and controls within asset management.
The ability to plan and deliver audits / testing within deadlines.
Intellectual curiosity, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Good written and verbal communication.
Beneficial: Relevant asset finance industry experience, with particular focus on transportation, construction and/or manufacturing sectors.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
