​J2905 - Our client is seeking an Asset Auditor to independently perform asset audits. You will join a team with one other auditor reporting to the Head of Collections. There is a potential opportunity to lead the audit team for a suitably experienced candidate. The role is home based and involves frequent travel to customer sites. This is a key risk role within the organisation given the importance of underlying security to an asset finance lender.

Salary: To £40,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Eng Flexible Location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organise and perform asset audits. The audits will provide an overview of the underlying business in question, evidence the condition / location / usage of assets on finance and review of the relevant documentation regarding the assets.

• Ensure sufficient work has been performed during the audit to achieve the audit objectives.

• Ensure quality and timeliness of audit documentation and reports.

• Work with other teams to resolve issues or outstanding items identified during the audit.

• Evaluate the adequacy and timeliness of management's response and the corrective action taken on all significant weaknesses noted in audit reports. 

• Investigate and develop asset audit approaches for unique and/or complex situations.

• Provide monthly reporting to senior management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• An understanding of risk and controls within asset management.

• The ability to plan and deliver audits / testing within deadlines.

• Intellectual curiosity, analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Good written and verbal communication.

• Beneficial: Relevant asset finance industry experience, with particular focus on transportation, construction and/or manufacturing sectors.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
