Job description

​J2979 - Our client is seeking a Senior Asset Manager - Hard Assets, with insight into the market to optimise revenue and profit based on asset sales and contract renewals.

Excellent salary, plus bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Flexible location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Has responsibility for both the setting of Residual Values for new transactions, and the monitoring of existing residual risk as part of the quarterly impairment monitoring process.

  • Ensures an optimum sales process in the event of early termination or completion/renewal of contracts, in compliance with the legal parameters and guidelines, with the objective of optimising the proceeds and profits from asset sales and contract renewals.

  • Provides insight into the actual value of assets, in compliance with the Asset Management policy, so as to ensure that plans can be made involving the asset in question and to facilitate adjusted asset coverage modelling where appropriate.

  • Provides insight into markets to be investigated, in accordance with the objectives and strategy of the business, so as to ensure that Asset Management, Marketing and Sales are well prepared for market trends.

  • Updates data in the system related to sales transactions, inspections and market research, in accordance with the needs of the organisation, so that this data is accessible to colleagues in Asset Management and the organisation as a whole.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Knowledge of the UK hard asset sector would be considered an advantage.

  • Awareness of the likely impact of ESG factors on road transport.

  • Knowledge of asset management, assets and asset environments and asset appraisal.

  • Knowledge of national and international economic, society and industry-specific trends.

  • Knowledge of UK asset finance.

  • Knowledge of the UK lease market and the products most commonly used in the UK.

  • Basic knowledge of UK insolvency law

  • Ability to communicate at different levels in the organisation.

  • Excellent Excel skills – financial modelling, analysing data.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
