Job description

​J2826 - Our client is seeking a European Strategic Projects Manager to ensure change is being managed effectively. You will ensure that the agreed governance approach is being implemented as well as identify and implement changes to improve delivery capability. You will manage a small team of Change Management professionals providing coaching and mentoring, as well as work with delivery teams across the organisation to identify and remove obstacles to maximise return on investment and deliver an enhanced customer service.

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Gtr London / Surrey

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to corporate governance regimes and ensure effective processes and working environment are in place to manage and minimise risk. Ensure adherence to group policies with regards to the development, implementation, benefit tracking and management of projects.

  • Manage the Change Management team including coaching and mentoring to improve the overall team capability.

  • Ensure a Change Management governance framework is in place and implemented effectively and efficiently - recognizing and accommodating the need for business agility and changeable priorities.

  • Develop processes and procedures that adhere to the group policy.

  • Ensure that all change projects have a clear statement of scope, a plan, a budget tracker, RAID log, and other tools which will ensure successful delivery of change in an auditable environment.

  • Work with other stakeholders to identify and remove blockages to ensure change is successful.

  • Directly contribute to the shaping and delivery of new products and territories by ensuring that effective IT systems and operational processes support the business offer.

  • Responsible for identifying and delivering system and process solutions that lead to good customer outcomes, great customer service, increased employee engagement, improved operational efficiency and thereby a return on investments.

  • Manage overall portfolio budget and deliver within it.

  • Provide portfolio level oversight of benefits management.

  • Improve and implement project management process and procedures to increase quality of project delivery across the business. Ensure there is consistent and appropriate levels of communication to help manage teams through the change cycle.

  • Access industry intelligence to remain appraised of products and services being offered by competitors, and assess and recommend comparable products and services for the business to develop and implement.

  • Retain existing customers and develop new customers whilst maintaining business portfolio quality.

  • Ensure Project processes and controls are in place and followed to enable KPI’s to be met and evidenced. Monitor KPI and put actions place (escalating where necessary) to address changing business needs.

  • Regularly share and present the status of the program of Change initiatives with SLT and wider business. Ensure key information relating to budgets, scope, timelines risks and issues are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.

  • Develop effective relationships with Change Leaders in other divisions and represent the business at the regular Group Change Committees as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Professional change manager with strong team working and stakeholder management skills.

  • Extensive change management experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of working directly with multiple stakeholders including supply chain.

  • Knowledge of culture change – particularly in implementing approaches to change.

  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft office particularly PowerPoint and MS Project.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and process analysis.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
