​K3157- Our client is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to assess credit applications in terms of financial viability and compliance with Company Credit Policy and KYC / AML Procedures. You will ensure lease documentation meets internal and funder requirements and implement corporate and legal requirements for credit and risk management. Salary: Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Sheffield / South Yorkshire.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Management and qualitative analysis of decisions and recommendations from third party funders.

• Responsible for developing and delivering the strategic plan for Credit function.

• Offer leadership, guidance, personal development and training to members of the credit team.

• Ensure the timely production and continued development of quality management information to support better decision making.

• Implement credit principles and practices to provide information for decision making and meet corporate compliance requirements.

• Appraise the credit and risk position of the company and provide regular reports on business performance, profitability and growth.

• Support Accounts with aged debtor management to minimise delinquent accounts.

• Support lease administrators with end of lease sales pricing approval.

• Report on and develop the organisation’s residual value provisioning, retail credit risk data and activities.

• Conduct research and analysis of company’s history and interpret audited information in relation to the proposed lease.

• Support Sales and Credit department by suggesting alternatives that reduce risk, safeguard company's position and improve viability of propositions.

• Undertake annual reviews of existing lending accounts to assess financial standing and check no deterioration.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Post graduate qualification; CICM, Chartered Institute of Credit Management desirable.

• Alternatively a recognised Chartered Institute of bankers qualification.

• Previous experience in senior management position.

• Credit Underwriting experience gained in the Leasing & Asset Finance or Banking industry.

• Thorough understanding of the credit process with strong leasing knowledge.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
