K3159 - Our client is seeking a Senior Account Manager (Construction) to develop and manage relationships with the existing customer portfolio and maximise new direct sales opportunities.
Salary: Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Location: UK. North of England (based north of the Midlands)
Work closely and with direction of the Sales Manager and Business Development team to identify sectors, products, suppliers, manufacturers and customers where you can realise growth potential whilst controlling risks.
Manage assigned vendor relationships and develop incremental business opportunities.
Manage existing customer portfolio, enhancing the relationship and funding their direct business needs.
Build and submit credit applications for larger value proposals in the agreed format and present in the credit committee.
Review declined proposals or conditional acceptances to determine if an appeal is appropriate.
Enhance credit proposals deemed worthy of appeal and to represent that proposal in a professional manner.
Deliver on agreed priorities whilst maintaining KPI’S and SLA’s and effective processes and controls.
Attend internal and external meetings.
Act as an Account Manager for all customers overseeing the end to end process, and ensuring systems and processes are in place to manage the life of the deal effectively.
Work closely with the other business functions and assist with issues where appropriate.
Knowledge of operational systems and process.
Knowledge of the sales process.
Knowledge of the vendor marketplace, specifically materials handling, agriculture and construction.
Knowledge and understanding of the financial services environment.
Knowledge and understanding of working and dealing directly multiple stakeholders including supply chain.
Knowledge of continuous improvement and process analysis.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
