K3187 - New Leaf Search has partnered with an asset finance company operating across Europe and America in their search for a Business Development Director to build and develop a Construction and Industrial Vendor proposition focused on yellow plant assets typically funded in that space.
You will have a track record of building, embedding and developing a new business and marketing channel and strategy that delivers lending growth - both as a salesperson and sales leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shape the strategy, target market criteria and future direction of the Construction and Industrial proposition.
Identify, penetrate and develop new vendor partnerships in this space in order to sell a range of lending products to their customers in accordance with credit policy.
Develop a portfolio of new vendor partners within the Construction and Industrial vertical that can deliver origination opportunities of suitable size and scale and returns.
Manage the sales process from start to close in an efficient and effective manner.
Work with customers and vendors to deliver relevant lending solutions, identifying what the customer requires and how best to provide it.
Establish unique solutions, including new product lines so that the opportunity provides the company with a competitive advantage over other finance solutions .
Negotiate new opportunities and work with all applicable internal functions to ensure optimal outcomes for all parties.
Building strong trustworthy relationships with your internal colleagues to provide our customers with a strong experience across all areas of the business.
Reporting on sales prospect pipeline.
Initial account management of the client, if required, prior to handing over to support team.
Negotiate terms of proposal, prepare documentation in line with agreed procedures and submit for approval.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
At least 5+ years in a leasing sales role.
Have developed a portfolio of vendor/reseller partners within the Construction and Industrial vertical.
Strong understanding of the broad principles of Credit and Asset risk as they relate to this sector.
Experience of delivering opportunities of suitable size and scale that will deliver scalable origination opportunities and profitable returns.
Demonstrable track record of success and an appreciation of risk.
Ability to structure and negotiate bespoke, profitable deals.
Wide ranging knowledge of the asset leasing market.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
