New Leaf Search has partnered with a multi-national asset finance company in its search for a Business Development Director, Hard Assets.

This newly created position will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, diversification, and strategic expansion. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with the company’s ambitions, working collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and profitability across hard-asset markets.
Research, identify and pursue new market opportunities to diversify and expand the portfolio.
Monitor competitors, market trends, and customer insights to guide business planning.
Shape and influence strategic direction, supporting product innovation and market entry.
Deliver data-driven marketing and sales campaigns to support growth objectives.
Provide accurate reporting, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting.
Lead business development initiatives from concept to implementation.
Act as an agent for change — driving innovation, efficiency, and customer excellence.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align objectives and deliver strategic outcomes.
Person Specification:
Proven experience in B2B asset finance or leasing, with a strong track record in new business generation.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically in a fast-moving environment.
Deep understanding of debt and lease pricing, asset and credit risk.
Skilled negotiator and presenter with commercial and financial acumen.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Experience supporting P&L growth and shaping market strategies.
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data-driven decision-making tools.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing.
You will also require relevant in-country experience, without which, your application will not be considered.
