New Leaf Search has partnered with a multi-national asset finance company in its search for a Business Development Director, Hard Assets.

This is a newly created role with a clear mandate to drive growth and diversification across the hard asset portfolio. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will develop and execute a business development strategy aligned to the company’s long-term growth objectives, operating within a competitive and mature market.

This role requires a senior, field-based new business professional with a strong track record in B2B origination rather than account management.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth and profitability

• Identify and pursue new market and sector opportunities

• Monitor competitor activity, market conditions and industry trends

• Shape future strategy using deep sector knowledge and insight

• Deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and performance metrics

• Support new product development from concept through to launch

• Act as a change agent in an evolving, fast-paced environment

• Implement data-driven marketing initiatives to support sales activity

• Oversee local marketing activity, including LinkedIn and digital channels

Person Specification

• Proven experience in B2B business development within Financial Services

• Strong track record of originating new business in competitive markets

• Commercially astute with P&L awareness

• Strong understanding of asset finance pricing, credit and asset risk

• Confident influencing senior stakeholders across functions

• Strategic thinker with the ability to operate at both high-level and detail

• Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills

• Comfortable evaluating new financing models and alternative funding solutions

• Competent across Microsoft Office tools

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing.
You will also require relevant IN-COUNTRY experience; without which, your application will NOT be considered.
