New Leaf Search has partnered with a bank-based asset finance company in its search for a Portfolio Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will be part of the Asset Finance team responsible for managing the bank’s assets safely, identifying and reporting risks at both portfolio and customer level, and supporting Portfolio Management Credit Delivery Managers in the performance management of Asset Finance customers.

Key Accountabilities

• Complete lessons learned reviews and circulate results

• Assess watch list cases below £1m

• Manage Portfolio Management QC process and distribute outcomes

• Collate and deliver Credit Stewardship returns

• Support Credit Delivery Managers with credit review papers

• Monitor portfolio risks and escalate concerns

• Analyse management information and highlight issues

• Prepare/manage SOPs as required

• Build strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders

• Support continuous improvement of strategy, policies and processes

• Attend ad hoc meetings and contribute to team objectives

Person Specification

• Extensive Asset Finance industry experience

• Strong credit management and financial analysis skills

• Proven mandate holder with sound decision-making ability

• Experienced in working to tight SLAs and processing high volumes

• Strong written, verbal and influencing skills

• Effective negotiator with solutions-oriented approach

• Collaborative team player with ability to work independently

• UK in-country experience essential
