K3583 – Chief Operating Officer – UK, Greater London / Surrey (Hybrid) – Asset Finance

New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading European financial services group in its search for a Chief Operating Officer.

This is a senior executive role with full responsibility for UK operational strategy, governance and delivery. The COO will lead all operational functions, ensure regulatory compliance (including FCA / FLA), and deliver service excellence during a period of sustained business growth.

Reporting into EXCO, the COO will oversee Business & Customer Services, Collections, New Business and Asset Management, while partnering closely with Risk, Legal, HR, Marketing and international colleagues across the wider group.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Full accountability for UK operational performance, governance, controls and regulatory compliance

  • Leadership, development and performance management of all UK Operations teams

  • Delivery of service excellence and operational resilience across the business

  • Ownership of operational strategy, KPIs, SLAs and budget delivery

  • Oversight of Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly requirements

  • Contribution to business growth strategy and major transformation initiatives

  • Strong collaboration with European Head Office and wider European stakeholders

About you:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within Asset Finance / Leasing

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with deep UK regulatory knowledge

  • Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire multi-disciplinary teams

  • Track record of delivering operational excellence and change

  • High standards of integrity, conduct and ethical leadership

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing.
