Job description

J2703 - Our client is seeking a Legal Contracts Coordinator. Due to expansion of the business, there is a need for the Head of Legal & Compliance to have further administrative and legal support within the legal & compliance team. You will ideally possess a legal work background or education (e.g. Paralegal, Legal assistant, LLB or CILEX). Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Gtr London / Surrey.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • The role involves a wide range of responsibilities and you will be working alongside another Legal Coordinator, to support the legal side of the team.

  • Act as the ‘hub’ for documentation approval request, ensuring account managers are submitting the approval request with all supporting documentation and correspondence and providing a commercial background to their requests.

  • Ensuring all doc approvals are submitted for approval by the relevant signatories and ensuring all final approvals are scanned and filed to relevant internal systems /drives.

  • Assist with ensuring standard documentation is FCA & CCA compliant.

  • Manage and monitor contract review and approval process.

  • Maintain and update the suite of approved documents, and assist sales staff in using them.

  • Negotiating amendments to standard terms and broker, reseller and vendor documentation,

  • with or on behalf of account managers.

  • Seeking additional advice when necessary from external lawyers.

  • Provide support to Collections department in the hard arrears cases, which may require litigation.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Ideally possess a legal work background or education (e.g. Paralegal, Legal assistant, LLB or CILEX).

  • Excellent organisational skills; have a keen eye for detail; the ability to meet deadlines; demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work; be good at juggling tasks whilst being able to prioritise work; a good team player with a desire to use initiative.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
