J2752 - Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst to prepare and evaluate risk through completion of credit applications for new and existing customers, mainly in the machinery sector, for UK and Ireland.
Salary: To £50,000 plus excellent benefits and bonus. Location: UK, Surrey / SE Eng
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analysis of customer creditworthiness (financial data, agency reports, business sector, outlook, propriety software, etc.) including customer/vendor visit.
Risk evaluation of the deal structure (including collaterals, asset values, evaluation of exposure, etc.)
Full compliance with all Risk Policies and Risk Policy updates.
Develop solutions to mitigate risk.
Adherence to decision making according to the delegation matrix.
Teamwork with other groups to coordinate the collection of necessary information for review and document preparation.
Supporting the Head of risk in the Risk Review.
Accurate and detailed reporting to be completed within required timeframes, also for defined vendors.
Organize and maintain credit files.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
2-3 years experience in credit risk / lending division of leasing company or financial institution.
Experience of personal underwriting authority for new business appreciated.
Track record of successful credit underwriting.
Detailed understanding of financial statements and ability to interpret them.
Experience in AML and compliance / regulatory tasks
Strong MS Office skills, ability to work remotely (although the role is office based, they are considering incorporating partial home working).
German language skills advantageous.
Car driver essential.
