Job description

​J2768 - Our client is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee assets that are owned, leased and /or subleased. You will be responsible for the management of the group lease bases with particular focus on the end of life asset management. You will determine the feasibility of asset acquisition and present supporting documentation to the finance team and wider business.

Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Herts (Home/Office Split)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in contract negotiations and manage commercial agreements for company owned assets.

  • Ensure that Leasing Partners have a positive experience of partnering with company by working closely with them in the management of residual value risk.

  • Develop a ‘Master Asset management plan’ specifically based around leased equipment.

  • Review, organise and maintain leased portfolios of the sales team.

  • Manage physical assets contained within the portfolio and retire assets as required with the goal of mitigating end of contract risk.

  • Develop extension rental opportunities within the lease base to increase revenue recognition.

  • Analyse and evaluate the portfolio progress.

  • Participate in contract negotiations and manage commercial agreements for assets.

  • Analyse asset financial and operational performance, generate budgets, and undertake variance analyses.

  • Administer risk analysis surveys to determine their risk profile; maximise returns; minimise losses on assets and investments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Previous experience within an asset management role advantageous, though not essential. Asset Finance and Leasing experienced individuals would be considered.

  • Self-starter with strong ability to work effectively in a team, as well as strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Strong ability to think analytically and strategically, and to execute tasks tactically.

  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment within tight schedules and meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills and highly skilled in maths and finance.

  • Skilled in negotiation and project management.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of professionals in the organization and achieve team goals.

  • Understand current trends concerning the demographics, product supply, economic drivers, and job growth that affect a portfolio and take action on them.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office package, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Excellent ability to give attention to detail, prioritize and perform multiple tasks together and still achieve accuracy.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
