J2823 - Our client is seeking an AML Officer with Credit skills. Your primary objective will be to act as the AML Officer for the company, however, you will also have a degree of responsibility for the underwriting and evaluation of credit transactions. Applicants with a combination of AML and Credit skills are at a distinct advantage. Alternatively you may have a background in Administration, Operations or Systems, provided you have an appetite for AML and Credit functions.
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Gtr London / Surrey
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep up to date with regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and adherence.
Keep staff informed of their compliance obligations through annual / ad-hoc training sessions.
Complete reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure AML guidance / policies /processes as well as risk analysis are kept up to date.
Analyse and underwrite transactions under own authority for all types of assets.
Analysis of customer creditworthiness (via financial data, credit and sector reports etc including customer visits).
Risk evaluation of the deal structure (including collaterals, asset values, evaluation of exposure, etc.)
Preparation of credit applications for deals above own authority.
Pre-qualification of deals with Sales.
Full compliance with all Risk Policies.
Adherence to decision making according to the authority matrix.
Compliance with rating systems.
Risk Reporting.
Organize and maintain credit files.
Novation and reschedule decisions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Experience in Compliance / AML.
Experience in credit risk within personal underwriting authority for new business.
Detailed understanding of financial statements and ability to interpret them.
Operations, Administration or Systems background useful.
Ability to work with all levels inside the business.
Strong MS Office skills, ability to work remotely.
Car driver essential.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
