J2842 - Our client is seeking a Vendor Sales Manager to lead from the front and take full responsibility for the Vendor team and channel. This covers strategy, execution, growth, and management. Ultimately you will be responsible for fully implementing a new business and retention growth strategy for the Vendor channel.
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Flexible Location
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use a coaching approach to style, establish and develop a field sales team that is well trained, motivated, and deployed against a clear plan.
Work closely with direct reports to implement Business plans for the area territories and customers.
Lead all sales activities in the office, brief the team on all significant developments and goals in sales meetings, and frequent interactions on and off the sales floor.
Use innovation and digitalization, identify and drive efficiencies throughout the sales process to ensure costs are operationally efficient and work with the online acquisition and marketing/content teams and the field-based account management team to create sales campaigns.
Proactive contribution to P&L, provision of accurate forecasting and delivery of channel budgetary objectives, including sales (new business and margin) targets and productivity metrics.
Act as liaison and ambassador for client with local trade and international bodies on industry matters.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Exceptional B2B sales champion, with experience within the Sales Aid industry, and a proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing Sales Team.
Have a growth mindset, be customer-obsessed, and enjoy building credibility with stakeholders while progressing opportunities and removing sales barriers.
Possess a track record in customer engagement, pipeline building, opportunity qualification, deal management, business case generation, deal closure & handover.
A passion for supporting cultural agendas such as EDI & ESG is essential while coaching and mentoring are key.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
