J2988 - Our client is seeking a Head of Credit & Risk to manage UK credit underwriting process and procedure as well as help develop their credit scoring methodology.
Salary: To £70,000 plus discretionary bonus and excellent benefits. Location: UK, Hampshire (Hybrid)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage UK credit underwriting process & procedures, working with HQ as required to develop their credit scoring methodology.
Include the assessment of the credit worthiness of all new prospective customers, agree appropriate lending terms and perform regular reviews of risk grading for all existing customers.
Ensure that lending rates are appropriate to the level of risk involved and the payment terms offered.
Evaluate the requirement for company and/or personal guarantees and all other forms of additional collateral in support of higher risk lending advances.
Take ownership of all lease contractual documentation & act as main point of contact for negotiation of contract terms & condition changes.
Liaise with funding providers with regards to funding rates and credit acceptance as necessary.
Provide active support for the maintenance, and dispute resolution of the company Accounts Receivable ledger.
Act as Corporate Compliance Officer and Anti Money Laundering (AML) Officer.
Responsible for reporting of annual return data to the FCA.
Monthly and Quarterly internal reporting of risk compliance.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Leasing / asset finance experience with a preference to having gained the Chartered Institute of Credit Management qualification, or a professional finance/accountancy qualification.
Systems – experience with usage of IT systems for rental businesses (SAP, ERP).
Use of MS Office, incl. Excel & Word to a strong standard.
Experience using external credit reference agencies.
Highly skilled in the analysis of credit score data output, company accounts analysis and any other evidential data.
Experience working within the banking sector or financial institutions associated with asset finance.
Experience of working in a multinational company, and experience with the implementation of large scale financial services projects.
Experience managing the supervision and support of one direct credit and risk professional colleague.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
