Job description

​J2997 - Our client is seeking a Programme Manager to focus on IT transformation (Contract Management System, Accounting, POS, etc). This role will be working closely with local and regional change teams based in Europe. You will be responsible building the overall programme’s plan and timeline, providing leadership, management, coordination and direction to teams delivering projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Global Program Manager and relevant local resource on the planning and designing of the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, initiating appropriate corrective action and escalating to the senior leaders where appropriate.

  • Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with interfaces with the groups other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards.

  • Manage the programme's budget in respect of the local elements of the programme; monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered as the programme progresses

  • Co-ordinate the streams of activity and manage 3rd party contributions to the programme.

  • Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise.

  • Maintain the programme's governance arrangements.

  • Ensure there is allocation of resources and skills within the programme's individual projects.

  • Manage communications and engagement with all stakeholders.

  • Report the progress of the programme at regular intervals to programme board and senior leaders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Extensive experience of managing Transformation Programmes.

  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • The ability to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project team(s).

  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels within the organisation, as well as with external parties (such as software suppliers).

  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme.

  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes.

  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external suppliers.

  • Ability to deal with setbacks and obstacles, using enthusiasm and communication to work within company policy and procedures, ensuring milestones and objectives are achieved.

  • Demonstrate logical thought processes to help understand complex issues and technical concepts quickly to facilitate issue resolution and solution generation.

  • Qualification and knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP, Agile and PRINCE2.

  • Knowledge of the Asset Finance Industry and products offered

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
