J3079 - Our client is seeking an Internal Business Development Manager to work with the SME external sales team, to pro-actively attract, negotiate and convert customer proposals into new business. You will also develop and manage specific allocated introducers / prospects / customers. This is a maternity cover role on a 12 mth FTC, but the position is highly likely to become permanent. Asset finance sales support / internal sales or admin looking to step up. This is an ideal opportunity for an asset finance sales support / internal sales individual looking to progress into an external sales role.
Salary: To £28,500 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Flexible (Remote)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support SME External sales in building and maintaining new and existing relationships with introductory sources and to achieve an increase in the performance of the allocated portfolio of introducer accounts.

Complete risk templates for sanction of the facility, chase outstanding enquires and paperwork on deals, maintain CRM system, attend sales team meetings.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the asset-based finance industry including company products and services, competitors, introducers, risks, client industry, market and sectors.
Support for business change initiatives, adapting role as required, relating to delivery of enhance new business performance.
Effective management of the individual proposal pipeline, to deliver defined KPI’s across the customer journey.
Achieve conversion rates and allocated financial target which supports the business growth strategy.
Provide and establish calculated contact strategies to ensure effective communications are delivered in line with customer feedback.
Pro-actively support and contribute to the wider performance of the Internal Sales Team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team from home.
Understanding of Asset Finance products.
Experience in a Financial Services or Internal Sales / Sales Support or Sales Administration environment.
Appetite for sales and sales driven negotiation.
Good communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Good time management skills.
Good team-working and interpersonal skills.
Basic fluency with credit analysis.
Basic numerical skills and fluency with financial analysis.
