​J3119 - New Leaf Search has partnered with an SME focussed financial services company in their search for a Senior Credit Risk Underwriter, Marine Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Marine or Aviation finance credit experience who is operationally strong and very aware of risk, process and procedure with the ability to forge strong stakeholder relationships.

Salary: c£75,000, plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Flexible (Remote)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish, oversee and manage the Credit Risk function in Marine Finance.

• Develop a Credit Policy for Marine Finance.

• Carry out and support activities in accordance with the requirements for the Marine Finance business and complying with the Credit Risk framework.

• Support deal delivery with a deep understanding of the Marine Finance Sector and products.

• Support the promotion of the Marine Finance Business; create and execute plans in accordance with strategy and budgets.

• Recruit appropriately to develop and maintain a robust credit function.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Technically knowledgeable and experienced in the field of Marine Finance (or Aviation Finance).

• Or, you may have experience of underwriting large value transportation transactions.

• Be operationally strong and very aware of risk, process and procedure.

• Ability to form strong relationships to promote cross functional activity.

• Independent thinker.

• Ability to influence at cross-functional and SMT level.

• General experience of setting up an asset class credit function / department.
