Job description

​J3134 - New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading European financial services group in their search for a Vendor Risk Manager. The role is responsible for the expert evaluation and underwriting within the Strategical and Portfolio Management department. You will focus on on-boarding and annual reviews and the associated KYC requirements. As part of the review process, you will be responsible for ensuring the portfolio remains clean and vendors are performing in accordance with expectations.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the annual review timetable by undertaking periodic reviews on all introducers.

  • Interpret and evaluate internal and external credit reference agency, broker and market reports to determine the degree of risk involved in setting credit limits.

  • Confer, consult and undertake due diligence meetings with both internal and external credit associations and other business/customer representatives to clarify credit/collections information as and where necessary.

  • Monthly distribution of the review timetable to the Heads of Sales.

  • Process all new on-board applications in accordance with the current procedure.

  • Consider all requests for the addition/removal of product codes from introducers.

  • Support ad-hoc administrative tasks for the Head of Strategic and Portfolio Management and ensure accurate data is held and maintained on core underwriting and customer management system.

  • Provide clear rationale to your recommendations when discussing Customer Due Diligence issues with Compliance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator.

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of credit experience, ideally with time spent analysing and interpreting financial statements/data from a variety of industries and commercial backgrounds.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel.

  • Good time management and organisational skills.

  • Focused on providing excellent service to internal customers.

  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.

  • Problem solving.

  • Ability to identify and put forward new ideas for improvements.

  • Methodical and attention to detail.

  • A team strong team player.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.

Applicants will only be considered with relevant in-country experience.
