Job description

J3572 – Internal Relationship Manager (12-Month FTC) – UK, Surrey / Greater London (Hybrid) – Asset Finance

New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading European financial services group in its search for an Internal Relationship Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an immediate starter, joining on a contract running to December 2026, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Excellent salary, bonus and benefits. Location: UK, Surrey / Greater London (Hybrid).

The purpose of the role is to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor, dealer and broker partners, delivering best-in-class service while maximising volumes and profitability. This predominantly office-based role requires strong relationship-building, negotiation and organisational skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with introducers and customers through regular contact to ensure a steady flow of business.

  • Act as a primary contact for introducers and customers for transactions under £250k and general daily queries.

  • Proactively follow up on leads, discuss requirements, negotiate pricing, and close deals.

  • Work closely with External Relationship Managers to manage and develop assigned accounts.

  • Promote value-added products and identify opportunities aligned with business strategy.

  • Qualify deals, assess creditworthiness and prepare credit proposals in line with policies.

  • Structure transactions to meet customer needs while ensuring commercial viability.

  • Ensure all documentation meets legal and regulatory standards.

  • Monitor introducer performance and recommend improvement strategies.

  • Manage deals end-to-end (quote, credit, documents, payout).

  • Collaborate with internal departments and contribute to sales meetings and process improvements.

Person Requirements

  • Experience in Financial Services, ideally Asset Finance or Leasing, with strong commercial acumen.

  • Proven ability to manage introducer relationships and generate new business.

  • Confident in qualifying deals, preparing credit proposals and managing transactions through to payout.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing.
You will also require relevant IN-COUNTRY experience; without which, your application will NOT be considered.

📩 Apply in confidence by sending your CV.
